Spray Foam Wall Insulation Myths
A lot of people aren’t familiar with spray foam wall insulation, and this lack of familiarity has led to many misconceptions about the product, its application, and its benefits. If you’re planning to insulate your property and are looking into various insulation products, you’ve probably heard about the myths that surround spray foam. It’s important to note, though, that many of these myths are simply that — myths that don’t have any foundation of truth.
To help our clients make informed decisions, we’ve listed some of the common misconceptions about foam insulation and why you shouldn’t believe them:
Myth #1: It’s only for rich people.
Spray foam is slightly more expensive than other insulation products, but this doesn’t mean that it’s too expensive for ordinary homeowners! If you look closer, you’ll find that spray foam can fit into your budget. You might have to spend a bit more, but the cost is worth it since you’ll enjoy numerous benefits.
Myth #2: It’s dangerous for your home and the environment.
Spray foam contains less volatile organic chemicals (VOCs) than other forms of insulation, which means you won’t have to worry about your health and the environment when you install it. Another benefit of spray foam: it doesn’t attract fungi since it’s water-resistant and doesn’t provide them with a food source. As a result, you can prevent the growth and development of mold and mildew in your home and avoid their negative health effects.
